THE WOMAN BEHIND YOUR CARE PACKAGE
Sydni Kitchel Williams is a Registered Professional Archaeologist with a Master of Arts in Cultural Resource Management, with an emphasis in ethnobotany and the representation of women in the archaeological record.
For more than 15 years, she has studied the cultural and medicinal relationships humans have held with the plants of the North American West — through archaeology, academic study, professional experience, herbalists, and her own independent exploration.
But her relationship with the plant kingdom didn't remain inside books.
In 2010, while working on her first professional archaeological project in the deserts of Southern California, Sydni experienced a profound calling from the plant world.
Creosote (Larrea tridentata) beckoned her toward a deeper relationship with the plant kin.
And she listened.
Years of research, study, ceremony, and intuitive exploration eventually gave birth to Daughter of Earth in the Autumn of 2021.
Her work is a beautiful weaving of science and spirit.
Of research and intuition.
Of ancestral ways and modern understanding.
Of the seen and the unseen.
Sydni wild-forages many of her ingredients and sources additional materials from high-quality local organic suppliers, creating her offerings with what she describes as pure intention and reverence for the Earth.
Her path has also led her into sacred drumming, ceremony, shamanic practice, ancestral connection, and her work with Amanita muscaria.
And through her own continued spiritual development, she found her way into the Earth’s Amulet community — studying with Liv Wheeler through priestess trainings including Daughters of the Milky Way and Venus Initiates, and participating in Divine Mother Culture.
So it feels especially beautiful that her work is now becoming part of your MOSS journey.
